Used Car Selling Tips on the Internet

The internet has become a great place to buy and sell new and used automobiles. In a matter of minutes, you can advertise your vehicle for sale by posting your ad on various paid and free classified ad systems. Compared to traditional newspaper advertising, selling your car on the Internet can be easy, fast and can save you money as well.

The following are a few simple tips for selling your car on the Internet:

Research your selling price

Part of a successful sale involves a resonable price which buyers will be interested in submitting an offer on. If your sale price is too high, buyers may not be interested in contacting you at all. Initially start by researching your local newspaper for prices for your used vehicle, you may be surprised to find a wide range in price for the particular make and model of your vehicle.

Create an email selling account

At times you may receive junk emails, you may want to seperate your sales inquiries from your personal or business email account. Visit Google Mail, Yahoo Mail or Hotmail for a free email account where you can receiving inquiries and emails about the items you are selling.

Photo ads sell

People online want to see what they are buying. People look for color, condition and any additional accessories that your vehicle may have. Although you may not need to post all your car or truck photos, take as many pictures of your car in case a buyer wants to see more photos of your sales item.

Mention that it is a private sale or for sale by owner in your ad

Some people like to deal with people direct and may be apprehensive if they know they will be dealing with a dealership. Not to say anything about automotive dealerships, but it is simply a matter of personal choice.

Selling a car privately also ensures that you will get the best possible price and the buyer will get the best possible deal.

Get your car ready

Thoroughly clean your car or truck inside and out. Buyers love a clean vehicle and it makes a great impression. Consider spending some money on having it professionally detailed.

Provide lot’s of information in your ad

Buyers want to know everything about your car: when was it built, are you the original owner, how many miles or kilometers on the vehicle, has the engine been rebuilt and more. Listing lot’s of information in your ad shows that you pay attention to detail and that you have nothing to hide when selling your car.

If you have photos of the vehicle posted on a website somewhere, provide a link to that site. Indicate to the potential buyer how to contact you; by email or by phone. Optional is to list where the car is located so that people can come and view it at their leisure. Some auto sellers even indicate what their viewing times are: mornings, evenings, weekends.

Don’t be affraid to put OBO (or best offer) in your ad. This tells car buyers that you are willing to negotiate the price of the vehicle and that you are ready to sell your car.

Advertise your car on internet car classified systems

There are many paid and free car classified ad system on the Internet where you can post your used car ad to. Some will accept photos while others simply offer a text ad. Initially start out by searching for local ads within your city or state.

National ad systems will provide you with a larger coverage, but may also charge your for your listing.

Dave’s Ultimate Automotive Gas Saving Tips

The number one key to great gas efficiency is proper car maintenance. From tires to batteries, transmission fluids to air filters, every part of your vehicle play a vital role in how much gas you use. By taking a little time, and perhaps a little money, for the inspection and maintenance of your car, truck, or SUV, you can save as much as 50% on your gasoline expenses!

A good way to make sure that you have checked everything is to start at the front of the vehicle and work your way back. Some areas may need to be checked by an automotive service in Austin, while others may be easy to check on your own. You may wish to enlist the help of a friend, relative, or older child to help you as well.

Some of these vehicle maintenance may seem too minor to make any noticeable changes in your gas bill. However, as the old saying goes, every little bit counts! Together, these minor differences add up to big savings!

Beginning with the exterior lighting, be sure that all headlights and blinkers are working properly. This may not seem like a way to save gas, but if you have to slam on your breaks because someone did not see you, you will lose gas efficiency.

Next, inspect the body of the vehicle. Is there anything hanging down or busted off that could cause wind drag? If so, it is wise to replace the part through a reputable dealer.

Check your tires! Sometimes it is difficult to see the true condition of your tires when the car is on the ground. If you are able to jack it up to do so, great! If not, a tire center in Austin can inspect your tires, sometimes for free! If it appears that your tires need to be replaced, there are a number of discount tire centers in Austin. Make sure that your tires are properly inflated, and that they are the right size for your make and model of vehicle. Make sure that the lug nuts are tight all the way around as well!

Continue through the vehicle checking for a filled transmission and radiator, good plugs and wires, a good working battery, and good oil. You may consider getting an oil change in Austin if the oil looks dark. Check your tailpipe for any residue. If any is present, your vehicle may be using oil and is in need of maintenance!  For all of your car care needs in Austin, come visit http://davesultimateautomotivee. com

Historic Automotive Photographer

The Pirelli calendar is one that’s eagerly awaited by all and sundry involved with automotive matters and excellent photography, but ’sundry’ rarely ever gets to own a copy. Even so, there is always keen interest in both the models, the photographer/s shooting this exclusive calendar, and how the models are depicted in the calendar. One of the most striking, and yet subtle, calendars from this tyre company came several years ago when the tyre tread pattern was tastefully depicted as an element of the whole image. This time around, the thirty-fifth, Pirelli has a more commercial motive behind the choice of models – Pirelli’s increased presence in China with the opening of a new tyre plant. So, along with the inclusion of Chinese models in the calendar, the theme of the calendar focuses on Shanghai, along with its teahouses and former colonial areas. The photographer is Patrick Demarchelier, originally from the small French sea town of Le Havre.

He is possibly most well known as being Princess Diana’s official photographer – historic because he was the first non-Brit to photograph the royal family. This is Demarchelier second time as the Pirelli calendar photographer – the first was in 2005 in Rio de Janeiro in exotic, sultry Brazil. The 2008 edition has (disappointingly for those expecting a skin show) 23 portraits, the odd number due to August having just one. The selected models include Agyness Deane and Lily Donaldson (UK), Doutzen Kroes (the Netherlands), Catherine Mc Neil and Gemma Ward (Australia), Sasha Pivovarova (Russia), Coco Rocha (Ireland) and Caroline Trentini (Brazil). The Chinese beauties are Mo Wan Dan, Du Juan and Maggie Cheung, the latter is an actress known for her roles in Chinese and English films like Police Story, Super Cop, Actress, Chinese Box and others. Du Juan, whose name means both the Azalea flower and the Cuckoo bird, was the first Asian model to grace the cover of French Vogue.

Mo Wandan was born in Guangdong Province, China. She trained in track and field, but quit after injury. After she participated in, and won, the China Model Star Contest in 2004, she was signed on by a modeling agency. Narain’s flawless performance should remind those who’ve have cast him aside that he’s still very much a force to be reckoned with on the world motorsport stage. In all fairness though, he was a little lucky to inherit first position when Neel Jani of Switzerland, who was leading comfortably, had trouble in the pits. But, more often than not, you need lady luck in your corner in order to win a race. Narain, on his part, put in quick laps when it counted, and set one fastest lap after another to secure his position.
