A Great Place to Donate My Car

I was very happy that I was able to donate my car to a good cause. I had driven my car for the last ten years and I knew that it was time to retire it. I thought that I was going to sell my car, but it was not as easy as I thought it would be. I put my car for sale, and I also put in a few articles in the local newspaper. I had a few people that decided to come and look at my car, but the majority of people did not want it.
Since my car was over 12 years old, it had high mileage, but at the same time it was actually a good car so I did not want to sell it for a cheaper price. I had already saved up enough money to get myself a brand new car, so I really had no need for my old car anymore. A good friend of mine told me that I should donate my car to the Red Cross. She told me that if I donated my car to the Red Cross I would not only be helping out a good cause, but that I could also get a tax break. I decided to take my friend’s advice, and I called the Red Cross and I asked them about donation. They told me that they could come and get my car for me the very next day.
I was very happy, because they actually did come, and they gave me a slip of paper so that I could report it for my taxes. I donated my car in December, and I was able to put it on my taxes for the tax year. I was able to get a big reimbursement in my taxes for donating my car and I was very happy about that. I’m very glad that I was able to not only donate my car for tax reasons, but also to help a good cause.
